Formation Process
A disciple is a follower of Jesus who believes His words, imitates His character, and obeys his commands.
Wherever you are in your spiritual journey today, we all have a next step to take to continue growing in our relationship with Jesus. By taking your next step of faith, you will find that your faith will grow, and you will be activated in the purposes God has for your life. As a church, we want to help you take your next step in becoming a committed disciple of Jesus.
How do we define the word disciple?
A disciple is a follower of Jesus who believes His words, imitates His character, and obeys His commands. I then become a follower of Jesus to the extent that my life is progressively being conformed to the image and likeness of Jesus. We do not believe this can be achieved by taking a few classes – it is a lifelong process. Below are some practical steps you can take to continue to growing in your faith.
What is discipleship?
For Jesus, discipleship was of primary importance. His final words before ascending to heaven were the commission not only to be disciples, but to make disciples. Like the original followers of Jesus, we must follow Jesus and help others to follow Him. We designed the Formation Process to give a simple and biblical definition of discipleship, and to help you take your next step in your journey of faith by following Jesus, one step of obedience at a time.
